This bag just turned two, and it’s easily my most favourite thing in my wardrobe.
I first saw this beauty around 2013. I still remember feeling thrilled every time I walked past the boutique store just to have a glimpse of it. I tried on a few colours and sizes, but there was something about the particular shape and style that I really liked. It was perfect! I kept telling myself I’d buy it on my birthday.
Two birthdays went past, and I never did. Until Christmas came, and I still haven’t bought it. When we went to London two years ago, we met up with my mom’s friend at the Westfields mall in Shepherd’s Bush. My sister suddenly saw a Prada store and she smiled back at me, knowing I’ve been eyeing it for so long. As soon as I walked in, it was the very first thing I saw at the top, sitting at the center shelf. I knew then that I had to get it.
I decided to treat myself with an early 25th birthday present. It took me two years before I bought it. I could have gotten it sooner, but having saved up for it and waiting for the right timing made it truly special. It taught me the value of hard work and patience—nothing is more rewarding than working hard towards something that you really love.
