Winter Festival ’14

Disney’s ‘Frozen’ and Christmas were the main things that came into mind when I saw this magical view.

This section named ‘Frozen Forest’ was only one of the many experiences this festival has to offer. A huge white tent was filled with colourful lights and trees located at Tumbalong Park. You will be amazed by the brilliant displays of shades of white, purple and blue. The darker shades of pink reminded me of Japan’s cherry blossoms, which I hope to see someday. I took my mum and sister with me because this month-long Winter festival ends tomorrow, the 13th of July.

I got really excited when the fan unexpectedly started blowing out artificial snow. I was a little disappointed it only lasted around half a minute, so I wasn’t able to capture it in video.

We marveled at the gigantic snowflake and Ice berg  as we walked along the Darling Harbour.

I was hoping to see the firework display during weekends, the ice show and the snow pit. I wish the festival ran for a longer time so I could have visited the tent during the daytime. It was a wonderful experience I’m looking forward to again next year.
